  is there a way of using rfid in public libraries to create games that don't need lots of text, i'm thinking of trying to engage kids with special educational needs and english as second language.

  Have educational pods - swipe rfid enabled student card to display choice of videos / resources / etc related directly to your subject area. So pods are effectively delivering personalised learning.

  Create one search page that returns selection of (a) photos from various sites that allow picture re-use (Flickr with CC licence, other image sources), (b) presentations on the subject (e.g. SlideShare with appropriate licence), (c) videos/tutorials from the relevant sites there... Easy way to find resources for talks etc.

  Populate an augmented reality layar/layer with badger parades through locations where mashed library events have been held. Badger parades would link through to info/pictures/videos on the events. (Guerilla dissemination by badger.)
